The Egg-Laying Man

The Egg-Laying Man

In this film the entire field of view is filled by the head and shoulders of a man, who, at the commencement of the picture, is smoking a cigarette. After making a few comic grimaces, which clearly reveal the fact this his mouth is empty, he seems to be in considerable difficulty with something swelling up in it, which, in a few moments, turns out to be an egg, and this he takes from between his lips immediately after, in full view of the audience. Another egg commences to protrude, and so on, until four eggs are lying on the table before him. Then, resuming his cigarette, he proceeds to break one of the eggs into a cup, but, in spite of the fact that it would seem to have been newly laid, the odour is so powerful as to overcome the man and bring the picture to an end.
