Le cinématographe de John Mackenzie (Drill Hall, 1er mars 1901)
John Mackenzie organise une projection cinématographique :
Concert at Rogart.—A concert, got up by committee in aid of the Soldiers’ Widows’ and Orphans’ Fund, was given in the Drill Hall on Friday evening. Mr P. W. Songster, Rovie, presided, and there was very large audience. Mr J. Mackenzie’s cinematograph exhibition was the principal attraction, the fame of his entertainment having preceded him. His pictures, the funeral of her late Majesty and the comic scenes, were very attractive. Unfortunately his phonograph, owing to the excessive moisture in the room, had to be withdrawn after short trial, the mechanism failing to work. But Mr Mackenzie obligingly made up for it by an extra display of scenes from the cinematograph.
