KINTORE.
CINEMATOGRAPH ENTERTAINMENT.— On Friday evening the Oddfellows held their annual reunion in the Public Hall. Bro. John Smith occupied the chair, and before the commencement of the entertainment made few remarks relative to the balance sheet, which showed that the ledge is in a very prosperous condition financially. The programme opened with a fine pianoforte selection, "A nicht wi’ Burns,” by Mr Burwood Nicholls, which was finely illustrated the screen by the powerful oxy-hydrogen apparatus. This was followed by a sole by Miss Jessie Robertson, rendered in capital style and also finely illustrated. After this came the cinematograph exhibition by Mr Paul Robello, which was admitted by everyone of the large audience to wonderful. The most popular pictures seemed to be the railway station, rescuing the horses from the burning stable, and vanishing lady. Mr Beveridge gave a very entertaining Iecture on South Africa and Jameson’s raid, to which the splendid views gave entrancing interest. At the close hearty votes of thanks were given to Messrs Walker and Co. and their artistes far their untiring efforts to make the evening a success, and Brother Smith for his conduct in the chair.
