BEST PICTURES EVER TAKEN OF A BOUT.
The polyscope pictures of the Gardiner-Root battle, which will be exhibited in Buffalo soon, must be the "real thing." Here is what the Chicago Chronicle says of them:
"Everyone who attended the private exhibition of the polyscope pictures of the Gardiner-Root  fight ever taken by moving picture cameras. It will be remembered that the pictures of the Fitzsimmons-Corbett fight at Carson City created quite a furore, but the exhibition was almost blinding, owing to poor photographic facilities. The photos of the battle of July 4th at Fort Erie show as clearly as a stationary picture and every detail of this great battle is clearly presented. There are 176,000 distinct and separate photos in the film, which depicts the twelve rounds in which Root lost a champion ship to George Gardiner, and every one of them is distinct and clear-cut. It is a fine exhibition, and as the fighters are in complete costume it may be viewed by women and children as well as by men. It takes an hour an twenty minutes to show the entire "welve rounds."
