Le cinématographe des frères Ireland (Moir Hall, 16 octobre 1903)
Les frères Ireland présente le cinématographe au Moir Hall :
A GREAT ATTRACTION COMING !
Mr. G. H. IRELAND was in town on Tuesday and made arrangements for Ireland Brothers' Uncle Tom's Cabin and Fairyland, to appear at Moir Hall, on FRIDAY NIGHT, OCT 16th This company came direct from New York city to Ottawa last week, where they have a week booked at the Grand Opera house, and on account of having a few open dates before their engagement in Montreal, will give the people of Huntingdon an opportunity of witnessing an attraction that is seldom seen outside of the big cities. This Uncle Tom's Cabin is Edison's latest production of America's greatest drama, which was an attraction at Proctor's Fifth Avenue theatre, New York city, last month. George Melie's marvelous creation. Fairyland-a spectacular cinematograph production in 32 moving tableaux-is an eclipse of all former productions. There is a succession of marvellous surprises, startling visions, full of humor, action and quick changes Wonderful dissolving views, introduction of new fire element and cyclonic effects, gorgeous scenes and costumes. Miss MADELINE HARMAN, the queen of illustrated singers, will introduce the latest New York song hits, beautifully illustrated from special posings taken from life, in natural colors and projected upon a large screen by our mammoth improved stereopticon which, being the most elaborate and expensive before the public, permits of coloring effects never heretofore attempted. Besides these there will be moving pictures of all the great events, marvellous illusions, side-aplitting comic panoramic scenes, train scenes, travel in foreign lands, etc. The only small feature is the price. Reserved seats 35c; generral admission 25c; children 15c. Reserved seat tickets on sale at Shanks' jewelry store. Bring the children and give them a rare treat.
