James I. Myers présente son cinématographe Lumière au Casino, mais il rencontre des problèmes techniques :

SPECIAL NOTICE.
We deeply regret that the "Lumiere Cinematograph" Show, over at the Casino last night was a failure on account of the "Gas Pot" having exploded in heating same, without which the Machine was powerless, and an exhibition of the Pictures, was impossible. Mr. Jas. I. Myers, begs to mention to all of the king persons who patronised his Programme, that he will at an early date, as soon as he is ready, and having received his chemicals &c., be will give an Entertainment Free to all. Notice will duly be given in the papers.
