THE CINEMATOGRAPH OLDHAM. —At the Oldham County-court, the British Cinematograph Company claimed from Joseph Plait, manager the Oldham Empire Theatre of Variety Company £21 for a performance given by their cinematograph at the Empire Theatre, Oldham, on four days in the month February this year. Mr. Marshall represented the claimant and Mr. Sixsmith the defendant. Mr. Sixsmith said that the company made their claim against Mr. Joseph Platt, who was only manager of the Empire Theatre. The contract had been made with the company, and handed in the contract. —His Honour (reading): Tt says "We and our"—l have no option but to non-suit; but I don't blame Mr. Marshall.
