The Doctor and the Monkey

A physician being presented with a baboon in a cage, examines the animal, and leaves it alone for a moment whilst he goes to fetch a magnifying glass. Taking advantage of his absence, the monkey escapes from confinement, and plays havoc with everything he can find. The doctor hearing the terrible noise returns, and tries to restrain the animal by holding on to its tail, which comes away in his hand, and affixes itself like a serpent to the tip of his nose. A little thing like this, however, does not appear to affect the ape, who continues his mad career, and finally has his revenge by pulling off the clothes of the servant who had come to the assistance of her master
