Lord Roberts' arrival and Reception at Cape Town
The View shows the Dunottar Castle, lying at the Docks at Cape Town. Troops acting as escort arrive at the wharf. Lord Roberts is seen coming down the gang plank from the ship, when he is enthusiastically received. He proceeds to inspect the troops, and finally steps into a carriage in company with other prominent officers. Lots of action, splendid portraits, and fine photographic quality.
