Rescue-Resuscitation

Taken at the Pacific Coast Life-Saving Service, Fort Point Station, Presidio, San Francisco, Cal., Capt. Joseph Hodgson commanding, and shows the actual process of rescuing and resuscitating drowning people. The film opens showing a man on an overturned boat waving his hat for help, two of the life-saving corps then shoot a life line to him, which he catches and fastens around his body. The shipwrecked man is then hauled through the water to the shore by the full corps of five men, who pick him up, lay him across a log and go through the resuscitating operations.
