DANCED THE SERPENTINE
A FIN-DE-SIECLE CANINE BEFORE THE KINETOGRAPH
Ivan Tschernoff's Pupils' Remarkable Feats Recorded by the Wizard's Revolving Wonder-Leo and Lucy Were to Have Been Married, but Had to Postpone the Happy Day-News of the Oranges.
A novel exhibition look place yesterday at the Edison laboratory, in West Orange, when Ivan Tschernoff, from Kaster & Bial's, came out with the trained dogs Leo and Lucy, and gave an exhibition in front of the kinetograph.
Leo turned somersaults forward and backward and Lucy created a scene by being dressed as a danseuse and giving a most clever serpentine dance. There had been arrangements made to have a real, bona-fide marriage take place in front of the kinetograph and all the paraphernalia of organ, altar, etc., were in place, but at the last moment word was received that there was some hitch about the matter and that the wedding had been postponed.
lt is probable that il will yet be held.
