The Wreck of the Schooner "Richmond"

This picture was taken within a few hours of the wreck, just after the crew had been taken off by the life-savers. The vessel appears beating up-on the rocks, while enormous billows roll over it from stern to stern.

	RICHMOND'S CREW SAVED. Rockland, Me, Schooner Wrecked Last Night Off Jersey Coast and Will be Total Loss. SPRING LAKE, N J, Oct 21-After an all-night fight with the fury of a windlashed sea that taxed the hearts of three life-saving crews, four men were rescued today from the schooner Richmond, a two-master hailing from Rockland, Me. Se is stranded on the outer bar, 200 feet off shore, at this place. [...] The first indication of the wreck was brought to the notice of a Dr Trout, who lives near the beach.
