Le cinématographe de MM. Fremons et Crampton (Public Hall, 14 novembre 1898)
MM. Fremons et Crampton présentent des vues animées lors d'une soirée organisée par les Druides :
DRUID'S CONCERT.-The eighteenth annual concert organised by the Druids of the town in aid of the funds of the Tunbridge Wells Hospitals, took place in the Public Hall on Monday evening, and the building, which had been decorated tastefully and effectively with tricolor flags, bannerettes, shields, and bunting, was filled with a full and thoroughly appreciative audience. [...] Part two was opened with a first rate exhibition of animated photographs, shown by Mr. T. Flemons. Amongst the slides were the Queen at Sheffield, Scots Guards, Queensbury tunnel, a boxing match, a rough sea, snowballing, Highland reel and Highland fling, Dragoons swimming, serpentine dance. a gardener watering plants, pillow fight, and children quarrelling. Each view as it appeared on the screen was heartily applauded, and Mr. Flemons and Mr. Crampton (who managed the cinematograph conjointly) have the satisfaction of knowing that they provided one of the undoubted features of the entertainment.
