[...] Very interesting also was a series of four views showing Fregoli, the great quick-change artist, on the stage and changing his costume in his dressing-room. The announcement of this feature, it may be incedentally remarked, doubtless gave rise to the erroneous idea that the Italian artist himself was to appear at the Crystal Palace.

The artist is shown before an audience, and also in his dressing room, making the changes, with his three dressers hard at work. Fregoli, der Tausendkünstler, ist gestern wieber mit einer Neuigkeit vor das Publicum getreten, nämlich mit dem Fregoligraph, man könnte ebensogut sagen : Kinematograph. In einer Serie von köstlichen Bildern führt der Apparat das Leben Fregoli's den Zuschauern vor Augen. Be sondern Beifall fanden die Bilder „Fregoli hinter den Coulissen" und „Fregoli nach dem Tode", wo er noch als klapperndes Gerippe mit seinen Knochen Fangball spielt. Fregoli wollte schon vor einigen Tagen den Fregoligraph vorführen, doch konnte er die behördliche Genehnngung erst jetzt erlangen.

El espectáculo terminó con una exhibición del Frégoligraph. Este es un original cinematógrafo cuyas cintas han sido impresionadas con pasajes de la vida de Frégoli, siendo el más curioso de éstos el llamado Frégoli entre bastidores porque en él puede verse el medio empleado por el artista para realizar sus vertiginosas transformaciones y cambios de personajes.
