David Devant parcourt la Grande-Bretagne afin de présenter des vues animées. Il se présente ainsi au début du mois d'octobre dans la Pump Room de Tunbridge Wells :
PUMP ROOM.-During the week large audiences have witnessed exhibitions of Mr David Devant's animated photographs, which include the Jubilee series.

1900
Les Animated Photographs de la Maskelyne and Cooke's Provincial Company (Great Hall, 17->17 septembre 1900)
La Maskelyne and Cooke's Company, dont le responsable est David Devant, parcourt l'Angleterre depuis le mois de juillet 1899, afin d'y présenter son spectacle fait de numéros de magie et prestidigitation. L'équipe vient de donner son spectacle, pendant une semaine, à Douvres. À Tunbridge Wells, les séances vont avoir lieu dans le Great Hall à partir du 17 septembre 1900 :
THE VISIT OF MESSRS. MASKELYNE AND COOKE'S COMPANY TO TUNBRIDGE WELLS.
The visit of Messrs. Maskelyne and Cooke's world-famed organization to Tunbridge Wells should draw crowded audiences to the Great Hall next week, commencing Monday, Sept. 17th. Their illusions and mysteries have delighted audiences at the Egyptian Hall, London, for the last 26 years, and far their first provincial tour is proving a great success. The artistes have been very carefully selected and personally instructed Mr J. N. Maskelyne, and the performances given by them will, in every respect, maintain the high repute of “England's Home of Mystery." The programme promises to be of attractive interest, and will include the latest London success, entitled “The Gnome's Grot," a delightful combination of refined fun and profound mystery; Mr Maskelyne's famous sketch, entitled “Mrs Daffodil Downey's Séance:” the ever-marvellous box trick, which has been the subject of so much litigation, and for the discovery of the secret of which a reward of £1,000 is still on offer; and it will also include a series of new and original magical problems and electric hand shadows by Mr David Devant. In addition, there will be exhibited the finest display of realistic animated photographs of war scenes, etc., ever put before a provincial audience. Afternoon performances are announced for Wednesdays, Thursday, and Saturdays at 3 p.m.

Peu d'informations sur les vues animées qui sont présentées dont on sait que certaines concernent des "war scenes" en relation, très probablement, avec la Guerre du Transvaal dans laquelle la Grande-Bretagne est impliquée. Il semble que les séances se déroulent sur toute une semaine. L'équipe se rend ensuite à Northampton.

Une nouvelle fois, David Devant se retrouve, après avoir passé une semaine à Eastbourne, à Turnbridge Wells avec son équipe pour organiser des soirées au Great Hall. La première a lieu le 3 octobre 1901.
À la fin du programme comme d'habitude des vues animées sont offertes. Le seul titre qui nous est parvenu est celui de The Funeral Cortege of the Late Empress Frederick, of Germany. Après quelques jours de spectacle, la troupe file à Maidstone.
1903

David Devant est de nouveau de retour à Tunbridge Wells avec sa troupe et son nouveau spectacle. Les séances ont lieu au Great Hall, du 17 au 19 septembre 1903.

"WEST'S PICTURES" TO VISIT TUNBRIDGE WELLS.—We are promised a visit to the Great Hall next week of what is claimed to be the finest exhibition of cinematography in existence —Mr T. J. West's series Animated Pictures of the Living World day-bay-day-and if the enterprising management present an entertainment equal to the standard they have maintained Bournemouth, Southampton, and other neighbouring towns, then their efforts should result in crowded houses twice daily throughout the week, for at the places mentioned they have created a positive furore. It on all hands admitted that for the beauty and variety of films shown no other company can give a display within reach of Mr West's, the artistic colouring many of many of the pictures causing the spectators to wonder how far the cinematographer really will go to super-sensational. Nor are the animated scenes all, for the programme will enlivened by the singing of Miss Lily Cole, a charming contralto ; the eccentricities of Mr Mattie Cheshire, entertainer ; and the clever pianoforte accompaniments Mr T. N. Lax. By all means see "West's," the exhibition is of the highest interest, and is not common limelight display, for the management have laid in a special installation of electricity. Seats may be booked at Mr Pelton's, who informs us that the plan is being well marked off by visitors and residents alike.

David Devant est de retour à Tunbridge Welles pour présenter ses nouveaux numéros. La troupe vient de donner quelques séances à Eastbourne. À Tunbridge Wells, les séances ont lieu au Great Hall, à partir du 12 septembre et pour trois soirées uniquement.

Les images animées sont bien au programme, mais leur rôle est désormais très secondaire et l'on ignore tout des titres et des contenus des films. La troupe continue sa route vers Hastings.
